HYPER HOUSE

Open Call 2026/27

Open call for artists based in Spain

We live in a world shaped by uncertainty. We are witnessing unprecedented innovations in fields such as artificial intelligence, medicine and sustainability, driving progress and offering potential solutions to fundamental challenges at a pace that can feel impossible to keep up with. Meanwhile, climate change, social inequality and political instability have become pressing concerns that demand collective action on a scale beyond individual capacity.

The art world is not immune to this reality. If artists have a role in society, it is precisely to respond to their own time: reflecting the state of the world, drawing attention to the issues of the present and proposing speculative visions of possible futures.

In this context, HYPER HOUSE launches its third open call for contemporary artists based in Spain whose work explores the intersections between physical and digital worlds. The call aims to select an artistic project to be presented at HYPER HOUSE in February–March 2027, coinciding with Madrid Art Week. The project may be individual or collective and must align with the space’s strategic areas of focus.

This open call is supported by the Madrid City Council’s Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport, through its 2026–27 Grants for Independent Contemporary Creation Spaces.
